GENERAL INFORMATION

•     Do you want to earn Service Hours for Interact, or NHS while having a lot of fun? Interact is making Holiday Bows again! Join us this Saturday, October 21, and next Saturday, October 28 from 9 am – 1 pm at the Chamber of Commerce Office (located at 2409 Jefferson St B, -- behind the Activity Reader Board on Sims Way). All proceeds will support recovery efforts in Hurricane and Fire devastated areas. Bring fun movie DVD's. Snacks provided. 

•     Important Students for Sustainability meeting today at lunch in A-106.  Don't miss this meeting!

•     Whitworth University Representative here Wednesday 10/18 , 8:30, in the Conference Room.

•     The Olympic Mountain Bike Team is having an introduction meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 18th at 7 pm in the PTHS Commons. Everyone is invited to find out more about the club. For questions, email:OMBT4Hclub@gmail.com

•     Mock Trial meets this Thursday at lunch, and Sunday at 5:30 in the high school library.

•     Arizona State University Representative here Friday, 10/20, 8:10 in the Conference Room.

•     SENIORS who may be considering Washington State University after graduation - please see Ms. Stankus or Mr. Sather soon!  There is a wonderful scholarship opportunity we can explain to you.  The deadline is Oct 18!

•     The WaWa Yearbook needs student submitted art and photos of outside school activities. Submit to 19h.germeau@ptschools.org. Also, the Yearbook is looking for photos and a small description of what you did over the summer - anything from vacations to fun and memorable activities. Email them to Leianna Kunz at 19l.kunz@ptschools.org.

•     Cast and Crew of The Accidental Death of an Anarchist: Here's the schedule for this week Oct. 16th -20th. Each day - 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

•     Rhododendron Festival Royalty candidate application forms are available in the office and also online: http://www.rhodyfestival.org/  Deadline is Oct. 31. This is for 11th & 12th graders. 

SCHOLARSHIPS

•     GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program selects roughly 20 college-bound students who excel in leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship to receive $10,000 renewable scholarships, up to $40,00 total per recipient. For more information, eligibility requirements and an online application visit reaganfoundation.org/scholarships.  Deadline is January 4, 2018.

•     The Elks National Foundation is now accepting applications for Most Valuable Student Scholarships.  The application process is totally online and can be accessed at enf.elks.org/mvs for complete details. The application deadline is November 27, 2017.

•     The Elks Legacy Award is awarded to candidates who meet the criteria and have a parent or grandparent who has served with the Elks. Applications must be submitted online at enf.elks.org/mvs on or before February 2, 2018 at 11:59 am Central Time.
