Excellent site for Washington state community colleges and technical schools - includes interest inventory, search engine and links.

College Navigator
Federal government site that allow families to search for and compare colleges.

Khan Academy
Information on the college admissions process, choosing schools and paying for post high school education.

Princeton Review
Gain access to over 950 college applications, rankings,scholarship information, and test preparation. This is a great site to take an online practice SAT free of charge.

Peterson’s Education Center
This is a commercial site with an extensive database.

Common Application
This site will allow you to apply online using a single application, which is accepted by 255 colleges. It includes information on application requirements for each participating college.

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)
This site lists the many school that participate in the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education program of tuition reductions for out of state students.  Students in the WUE program will pay 150% of in-state tuition at selected public institutions.

This site has some good information for student athletes seeking scholarships and eligibility.

International Education Financial Aid

Job Corps
A no-cost, residential education and training program administered by the US Department of Labor. Offers a variety of career fields for youth 16-24 years of age.

Federal program open to ages 18-24. Members serve on teams that assist in community service projects throughout the U.S. Educational awards are granted at the end of service.

Peace Corps
Federal program open to students 18 and older. Commitment is 27 months of global community service. Educational awards and stipends granted at the end of service.

AFS offers a variety of exchange programs throughout the world.

National Association for College Admission Counseling
This is a link specifically for students. It contains information on student aid, test preparation, steps to college planning,and college rankings.

Study Canada
This is a comprehensive resource guide to studying in Canada.Learn about costs, climate, cost of living, accommodations, and Canadian history. There is also information on getting a visa to study at a university/college in Canada. Study Canada is published in 12different languages and is linked to the 17 Canadian Education Centers worldwide.

British Council
This is probably the best starting point for those wishing to study in the UK. It includes detailed information for international students. Just type the country from which you are applying, and gain access to all the necessary application procedures.
This site is a part of the British Council. It includes a search engine for finding universities and programs, scholarship information, as well as several links for living in the UK.

These two sites are good starting points for those wanting to study in Australia.
