Military Recruiters Information 2017-18

Note: We do not release information on 9th and 10th graders. This form is only needed for students in 11th and 12th grades.

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Our district receives funds from the federal government under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. These funds are used in a variety of ways to provide additional help to students in greatest academic need. The law also requires that districts receiving these funds must, upon request, provide to military recruiters, colleges and universities, access to the names, addresses and telephone listings of secondary students in the 11th and 12th grades.

It is important for you to know that a secondary school student or his/her parent or guardian may request that the student’s name, address and telephone number not be released by the district. If you would like to make such a request, please complete the "Notice to Obtain Written Parental Consent for Military Recruiters" form, now available in the office, and return to Jan in the high school office.

Please be sure the form is returned to the office by Thursday, October 19 as the military typically requests this information in October of each academic year.

Due to the volume of paperwork the office receives, the "Notice to Obtain Written Parental Consent for Military Recruiters" form must be used for us to honor your request.
