All PTHS students who performed earned Superior ratings and three students won 1st place in their categories! This means they will progress to the state solo and ensemble competition this spring. Eight PTHS individuals and ensembles received 2nd and 3rd places or Honorable Mentions. Eight BHMS students performed and judges commented on how delightful and well-prepared they were.
We are so proud of our student musicians!

We had seven students win Best Witness in at least one of their trials, and six win Best Attorney in at least one trial at the Kitsap District Championships this month.
We also had three students receive Best in Trial Nominations as witnesses and/or attorneys and two students receive the highest honors, Overall Best Witness and Overall Best Attorney for the entire two-day competition.
Go Mock Trial!

Return to School February 23rd!

With the passage of this bond, we can now bring our historic Port Townsend High School up to modern standards and create a permanent home for our OCEAN K-12 Alternative School.
Students will have a safer and more accessible place to learn, teachers will have modern classrooms to elevate their instruction and we will ALL have a vibrant gathering space to come together in the heart of our community!
We look forward to bringing this dream to life. Stay tuned for ways to get involved in the design process. Updates will be shared at www.ptschools.org/page/bond2026.

Let's show students that Port Townsend values their creativity and wants to see their ideas reflected in our community! This year, work will be displayed in the Cotton Building downtown so that everyone can see our kids' great art.
To sponsor this event/donate, please visit: https://ptpta.givebacks.com/shop. Contributions will help support this week-long exhibition of artwork by students from PT schools installed April 2-7, 2026, and ongoing art programs in our school district.
To volunteer, please email Chiarra Klontz at klontz.chiarra@gmail.com to be added to our list. We will be preparing art before April 1st, installing the show in the Cotton Building on April 1st, and then hosting open hours each day/evening from April 2nd - 7th. Please let us know if there is a specific date/time or activity you would like to help with. Thank you so much!

A heartfelt thank you to our school counselors and school mental health professionals who support our students every day. Pictured here for their board recognition.
Your compassion and guidance help meet students’ social and emotional needs, empowering them to thrive in and out of the classroom. We are grateful for the safe spaces you create and the positive difference you make for our students and families. Thank you for all you do!

Throwback Thursday! In 1941, the Bruce Blevins Gym opened on the campus of Port Townsend High School.
That same year, Cheerios hit store shelves and the comic Wonder Woman debuted. Since then, the gym has been home to countless basketball games, wrestling matches, school assemblies, music concerts and moments of community pride. It’s more than a gym, it’s a place where school spirit and community come together! 🏀🤼
