After School Homework Help, Subject Tutoring, and Credit Recovery Available!
The high school is hosting after school homework help for students, from 3:15 - 4:30 pm, on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays in the high school library! The program will not run on days when PTHS has an early release scheduled. And the program will not run on Friday.
One to two PTHS teachers will be onsite to help the students, depending on the number of students in attendance. We encourage all students to participate in this activity, and to not wait until he/she/they are in trouble with their grades to seek the extra help. Teachers are ready to support students in their homework, projects, test preparations.... whatever is needed. Students who need specific subject coaching will be able to receive the assistance of a Skillmation tutor.
Parent support is appreciated to ensure that students are encouraged to seek the extra help they need on their schoolwork. It is never too early to get extra help to keep grades strong, or correct areas of struggle before the frustration takes over.
Additionally, students who received an incomplete on one or more of their high school classes last year, and did not make up the credit over the summer, can also use this teacher supported time to get signed up for the Credit Recovery program, and begin making progress on completing those credits!
