Do you remember the PTHS Alma Mater? Practice up, as we sing it at the close of the Alumni Banquet, also at the end of football and basketball games.
PTHS Alma Mater
In a city by the water
Reared against the sky
Proudly stands our alma mater
As the years go by
Forward ever be our watchword
Conquer and prevail
Hail to thee our alma mater
Townsend High all hail |
HISTORY
The first class to graduate from Port Townsend High School was in 1891. Six years later, six young women from the class of 1897 met to organize the Port Townsend High School Alumni Association. This organization has been meeting nearly every year since then. The PTHS Alumni Association is one of the oldest in the nation which meets yearly. The PTHS Alumni Banquet is always the 2nd weekend in June.
